This is where morality comes into play. It’s immoral to break a pact and it’s immoral to kill a comrade. This would be an example of the masses, or the larger number of the society being less intelligent and being controlled by oppressive rulers that disguised themselves as leaders. This isn’t to say that the leaders didn’t start out with good intentions, but when a person is placed in a position of power, their morality is consistently tested. Some leaders make the decision to make it fair or equal for all of society, and other leaders take advantage of their position of power and ensure that their group of people get preferential treatment over other groups of people and at any cost. Animal Farm is mainly stands for the Russian Revolution in 1917. In the book every animal represents someone. Here is a few examples: Napoleon’s a pig who represents the leader of animal farm after the rebellion. As I mentioned before Napoleon represents Joseph Stalin. Napoleon uses his military (His nine loyal dogs) to induce fear to the other animals. In his supreme, Napoleon proves that he’s more corrupt than Snowball. While Snowball also aided in making certain people in society more privileged than the masses, he didn’t necessarily do it to the extent of Napoleon; he wasn’t quite as ruthless. Another example would be Snowball. Snowball is also a pig but he’s a pig that challenges Napoleon for the control of animal farm after rebellion. As a human snowball would be Leon Trotsky. Leon Trotsky is communist theorist and agitator; he was a leader of Russia’s October Revolution. Trotsky represents Snowball because the both of them are leaders that led the revolution against the old leader. They both were leaders of an army in the Russian Civil War and The Battle of Cowshed. Trotsky and Snowball are similar because they were both the brains behind their country and their farm. Snowball proposed the plan to build a windmill and Trotsky proposed the five year plan.
