Black Widow’s ‘Hotness’
The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron is a sequel that follows the Avengers’ journey of saving the planet. Mainly, the movie shows the road to defeating Ultron, a robot with artificial intelligence, who plans to create a new and peaceful planet, one that is free of the human race. Originally, Tony Stark (Ironman) created Ultron using Loki’s scepter, with the intent to achieve world peace. However, the robot’s understanding of peace includes the Avengers’ destruction and global annihilation. Basically, by the end of the movie, the Avengers successfully defeat Ultron by recruiting the Maximoff twins, Quick Silver and Scarlet Witch, as well as Vision, a robot formerly created by Ultron, but who was soon taken by Ironman to be merged with J.A.R.V.I.S (Ironman’s computer system). Among all of the Avengers, only two are females, Black Widow and Scarlet Witch. Particularly, Black Widow truly reflects a “hot superheroine” as she pleases the male audience through equal portrayal of desirability and power. She achieves this status by exposing feminine features, controlling sexual behaviours, and demonstrating skilled actions.
Feminine Features To begin with, Black Widow cleverly displays her femininity by wearing a simple costume. She wears a body fitting, black leather jumpsuit with the zipper slightly set low in the front.
