Initially Jones 's goes from one extreme to the next in a matter of sentences. The article starts with examples and cases of rape with two of the three instances she fully mentions. Quickly she jumps to the topic of gender equality and how privilege breeds hypocrisy and protects superpredators. She immediately resumes to the third and final offender. After addressing this Jones returns to speak of how parents may purposely ignore the fact that their child or family member for the matter is being abused. The idea of ignoring the subject of rape or abuse knowingly is a problem in itself. Jones’s could have addressed this topic more thoroughly throughout her …show more content…
The only thing we can do as society is come together as a whole and fight for what is right. The justification of not only men who rape but women who rape should be an ongoing fight. In order to prevent the entirety of the rape epidemic per se is to inform others. One must inform others of the risks of being raped or sexually abused, and how to act during the situation. With this in mind we are able to continue spreading the awareness and create a safe environment for future generations to live in. If we work in the justice fields of the world we are to ask ourselves how we can help create a better world? Act now or keep making excuses, it is your choice (Jones). As we have seen through many different criminal cases it is often the money and the power that the criminal holds which in return helps him or her get out of their situation.
