I feel like I have the same attention span as before. I feel just as smart as I have been. Any changes in how I behave could be blamed on the fact that I am maturing into more of an adult. Smartphones have had little effect on how I learn or comprehend things. What my smartphone has done is make it easier to learn about new subjects and gain information about anything I could ever want. My most recent use of a smartphone has been to assist me in my math classes. I can use it to look up how to do a certain equation I do not know how to start. This makes it a fantastic learning tool, not a hindrance towards my focus or intelligence. The last thing Willingham proposes in his article is that to prevent an lack of inward thinking we should take a break from our phones. I agree with this as well, people should get off their phone and experience self reflection. There are many ways to do this. One could be to go for a run and self reflect. Maybe someone likes to read. The only requirement for an activity of the kind is to be off your phone. Living in the moment is one of the few things that phones can not provide us
