After reading the article I was thinking about the third theory and about eating healthier less processed foods. I grew up on a farm, and my dad raised chickens and cows for slaughter. Therefore, I always had unprocessed meat to eat. Now that I am at college it is a different story. Although, I do bring meat from home back with me to school I often have to by meat from the grocery store. Personally I can taste the difference between the meat from back home and the meat from the store, but my roommates cannot tell the difference. This article has given me a better understanding that because I grew up eating meat that was less processed I have had a healthier lifestyle then other people. I also found it interesting that the government was unwilling to help their people. I understand that money can be tight, but people were dying and the government was doing nothing about it.
