Companies will take a perfect looking person and then make them look even better with their special effects and tell people if they want to look this good they have to wear this brand or consume their product because it will make them look or feel better. By turning people into objects it takes away from who the actual person is no one sees them for who they are just for what they are wearing or what product they are using. By doing so the advertisements are making it harder to make a connection with people because it is much easier to stay loyal to a brand then an actual person. This where the people with addictions are deeply affected, people who are alcoholics or smokers who are the biggest target in the advertising world besides children. The children of today’s world are taught that your self-worth is not determined by who you are as a human, but what brand of clothes you where or if you drink alcohol or not, it is not about who you are anymore rather than who you are wearing. Today’s youth is so influenced by advertisements now days because they see them more than any other age group does. Social media is such a big part of the everyday lives of today’s children that their constantly seeing what their favorite actor or athlete just posted on their Instagram about the new product they are promoting when they might not even use it
