A)The paper text that i will be Scaffolding for the project is the Article from NPR, "One-Man Show Casts 'Brilliant' Light On Realities Of Suicide, Depression. The Subject of the article would be considered a medical/liberal arts subject, where the article goes in depth about the workings of depression, suicide, and sadness and how it can affect a person everyday. It can be considered a liberal arts article because it also talks about how on stage, the actor is able to express his own life on stage without anyone judging him on his own life. Instead, he shares experiences with audiences so they can sympathies with him and feel the agony and sadness he felt throughout his life.The age group that would be suitable for this article would be categorized in the 8th-9th (13-14)grade level. The vocabulary, and level of reading difficulty is on the lower side of the spectrum. Allowing even students of higher grade level to read the article but still get the same effect and lesson as a 8th or 9th grader would receive. …show more content…
It also can help paint a larger picture for students on the art of using mental health as a pathway to engaging audience members in a realistic and realistic theatrical experience.
