2. Megan Trainor – “Thank You”. The strength in Megan Trainor’s voice always strikes me at my core. Her album came out before my graduation from high school, so it was my focal point at the end of my last year. She promotes for self-confidence within your imperfections. I love her song “Me Too” mostly because of the music video. The video starts up with her waking up in mix-matched pajamas with a clean face like a normal woman in the morning and it shows more realistic characteristics unlike majority of the music industry. Sam Smith – “The Thrill of It All”. Sam Smith is a humble man, despite being famous. He sings about being hurt, making mistakes, and staying close to his family. He dedicated a song in his album for his mother which was “Scar”. He promotes being a feminist and is an artist I look up to. His song “One Last Song” is bittersweet to me because I’ve had to finally give up on someone after trying so hard. This album gave me the strength to finally give up a toxic person and has made my quality of life better.
