LOD basic’s are where you run the entire building. From the backroom to sales floor to front end, you impact the business in the way you manage the store during your shift. Throughout LOD shifts I learned to model and encourage exceptional guest service behaviors, respond quickly to customer requests, ensure all areas of the store were in stock and zoned to drive sales, monitor and respond to hourly sales as well as guest traffic and guest safety incidents and or spills on the sales floor. Throughout weeks six and eight, I learned how to lead AD and Lead Logistics’ area. AD setup is a simple process, It is divided into each block of the stock. Each block represents sections of the store such as health and beauty, groceries so on and so forth. Each AD has a aisle number and a shelf number and the name and dpci of the product, then at the end of the AD setup I scan the encaps for missed AD. One of my strengths is collaboration because I have developed strong relationships with the team early on in my internship. An example of this is when I needed help with a big project that had to get done before the peak hour. I approached Pam, a Team Member, and asked if she had time to help me put out the six tubs of shoe clearance. She said “no problem” and jumped right in. Working together, we were able to speed up the process and get the shoes to the floor in order to drive sales. Another strength of mine is being resilient and adaptable. I am always willing to jump right in to help wherever needed as it pertains to my development, always trying to be as global as possible. I am open to any and all feedback, I ask my mentor daily for feedback, along with feedback from my STL, acting on those opportunities I can correct. Communicating Effectively is an opportunity, as I need to be more clear and concise with my message at times. I sometimes fail to get the intent of my message across because I am not yet comfortable with all of the Target jargon and processes. I will continue to work on this and try to be more prepared when speaking and connecting the processes and information in order to convey a more clear and concise
