Music can be used to evoke underlying emotions and can help people to express themselves with ease. It fuels the mind and thus it fuels feelings. Music is universal in the sense that there are no boundaries to understand it. It transcends the frontiers of communication as people can speak and tell stories to others, even though they do not speak the same language. When listening to music, everyone can understand it and feel something if they open themselves up. All these characteristics of music are specially related to musicians. When Sonny was an adolescent, he and his older brother did not seem to communicate well with one another. They used to fight a lot, and after some time they drift apart. Some years later they managed to overcome their difficulties and were able to come to terms. During the revival meeting, Sonny and his brother listened to a woman singing, and Sonny told his brother that her singing reminded him of what heroin felt like. He tried to explain this with words but his brother did not seem to understand it very well. However, after the meeting, they went to a nightclub where Sonny played the piano, there he was able to make his brother understand what drugs had meant for him. Sonny 's brother was able to see that his face was troubled while he played, he realized that drugs helped him to be more relaxed and more confident. Sonny was able to make his brother understand through his music that playing without being under the influence of drugs was a challenge and that it was really hard for him. Sonny finally made his brother understand that he was struggling with his inner self between the feelings of sorrow, anxiety and passion, feelings that had made him fall into drugs before. These moments of the story help us to explain that it was music what helped Sonny to explain his feelings and thoughts about his past drug addiction and made them evident and understandable to his
