Q5- I love the way Anne uses humor to pull her readers in. With a title like Shitty First Drafts, who wouldn't be interested? With out humor, I would personally feel disconnected from the story. She talks about the different stages of writing. The first draft is the "Child's draft" where we "let it all pour out and then let it romp all over the place". I believe writing a first draft this way can be beneficial. One reason being; a writer could take a piece from each of the different ideas and come up with lots of ideas. I suppose for some that could seem a little to "rompy", but not for me. I also find it incredibly hilarious how she describes the many voices in her head as she writes.
