The Shawshank Redemption (1994) is an amazing and impressive piece of film-making from director Frank Darabont who adapted horror master Stephen King's 1982 novella Rita Hayworth. It is a film of hope, where director explains it beautifully how “Hope is a good thing”. Movie shows the ugly realities on life of Prison and its day to day life. There is a lot of scope of learning during free time in prison whether it is art or literature.
The film portrays the story of Andy Dufresne, a banker who is sentenced to life in Shawshank State Prison for the murder of his wife and her lover despite his claims of innocence. The movie Shawsank Redemption can be related in several ways with MBA.
Firstly, in the movie author tells about the Hope. Like in the movie Andy Dufresne hopes to get out of jail and settle his life beautifully. In the same way, MBA would help us in learning good management and after 2 years we can enjoy the work as well as life i.e., MBA will help us to manage our and others life. This movie gives hope to have a beautiful life after 2 years in terms of social and financial status , and the best thing about hope is that it will never dies , much harder we will work and the much beautiful our life become.
Secondly, from movie we learn about get busy living and get busy dying i.e., always keep busy yourself in some activity, which will improve your other skills that can be used during your lifetime. Always have some time for your dream in the hectic schedule that will make you strong and alive.
