When given the assignment to discuss one active and one dead bill, I wanted to pick ones that I thought would be seen in my future as a social worker. I scrolled through bill after bill and finally decided on an active, approved by the governor bill: Senate Bill Number 2107. Since there were many more dead bills, it was harder to pick one, but I went with Senate Bill Number 2667. Senate Bill Number 2107 was approved by the Mississippi governor. This class was beneficial to my future as a social worker. I was able to learn about different therapies I could potentially use when working with clients. When we were first assigned this paper I was a bit conflicted on what my theory was going to be since I felt that all therapies were important. But as we learned a little bit more in depth about how each of them worked I was able to relate to certain ones. An exercise in class allowed me to understand my own reasoning for helping others as well as what may be my own selfish reasons for seeking this profession. Reading Self Reflection This year, I started 23 books and finished 22 of them. This year I read a mix of realistic fiction, historical fiction, mystery, biography, non-fiction, fantasy, science fiction, and auto-biography. Self reflection is the mental process that acquires knowledge and understanding through thoughts and experience which helps encourage self awareness.
