I never liked school as a child, and it was not a main priority to see my friends every single day. I was pretty independent and I liked being able to spend time on my own. When I was at school, I would like seeing my friends but was never allowed to talk to them in school anyway besides lunch, and it was always more important to listen to the teacher than to have a conversation with your friends.
