It is the type of show to challenge the common way TV shows usually handle delicate situations. Controversy is able to divide the people into taking sides while creating stories for the media, which is also stated in Satire’s Brew. This was one the big reasons for the show’s popularity to grow. The writers do an exceptional job through their comedic sense in order to talk about such a controversial topic like obesity. Cartman files lawsuits on certain places that aren’t accessible to people with his overweight disability and Honey Boo Boo was the cherry on top for this episode. The episode to me seemed to expose our normal beliefs in society to be a little problematic and ignorant. I agree with the episode because I believe that everyone shouldn’t comment on other people’s problems but their own, however when it’s a health risk it needs to be talked about in order to get fixed.
