Rosa parks is well known for being a Black Civil Rights activist for African Americans. She was devoted to making a change for her country, and she did. Martin Luther King Jr said “life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘what are you doing for others?” Rosa certainly answered this question by protesting against bus segregation, taking part in the bus boycott, being a member of NAACP (National Association Advancement of Coloured People). Rosa became a highly respected face of the civil rights and freedoms movement. She fought hard to make a change, inspiring others along the way.
In 1955 Rosa was arrested for protesting against the bus segregation after a long day of work at the Montgomery Fair department store.
