Technology is a large social force difference between my generation today, and my parents and grandparents. If I were to grow up in Germany during the Holocaust these social forces would change again seeing that social forces change from generation to generation. A large social force in Germany at the time of the Holocaust that would influence my life considerably, is race. I am two races, Black and Asian, and during the time of the Holocaust I would be sterilized, experimented on, incarcerated, or murdered. Education is also similar during Nazi Germany, the American South, and the Great Depression in the area of gender. Females typically did not graduate college and would marry before reaching the age of thirty. This social force especially would impact my life exceedingly, since my entire life is centered around going to the college of my choice and becoming a doctor. Today, I own a device that has more capability of NASA computers and contains the knowledge of entire encyclopedias. Economy in the Great Depression was, of course, not as stable as it is in 2016. During the Great Depression, the American government did not help provide food for those who could not afford it. If I were to live during the Great Depression, I would have little food and weigh under one hundred pounds. My family needed help financially during a time where my father had lost his job and my mother was not able to keep up with our financial state, so without financial help I would not have been able to eat. During both the Great Depression and the times of Jim Crow I would not have made the decision to go to college, would most likely be failing a large part of school due to lack of information from technology, and would not have made it through a difficult time in my life
