In article “As He Promotes it, Some Question Obama’s Free Community College Idea”, written by Joanne Jacobs, the proposition of free community college in America is met with some reasonable hesitation. While Barack Obama plans to give out free community college, students like Felipe Bezerra do not see the reason why President Obama would do this and disagrees with Obama’s plan stating that “‘Tuition shouldn’t be free’ for those who could afford it”, And frankly I agree with him.
There are multiple reasons why this idea should not come to light, for one main reason that would affect everybody is money. The White house estimates that if free community college does become reality, it would cost $60 billion dollars over the course of 10 years.
