Pocahontas Memorial Hospital (PMH) was first established in 1926
Since it 's establishment PMH has seen many difficulties from flooding to financial threat
Fortunately, PMH has now grown into a 25-bed critical access hospital operating under the motto “Where Your Health is Our Priority
At PMH much focus is placed on delivering compassionate healthcare while still promoting patient to live a healthy lifestyle
Mission Statement: “collaborate and partner to improve the health within the community; be the leader in patient education, prevention and outreach; base care on evidence-based findings; obtain a culture that exceeds patient expectation, and sustain financial viability” (PMHWV, 2014, para. 3)
To achieve it 's missions and goals PMH has also adopted six operational pillars and nine principles …show more content…
Stakeholders are utilized to provide a necessary resource to the satellite clinic
Obtaining their services does require the satellite clinic remains attentive to their opinion and values on different initiatives/programs
Maintaining a healthy relationship with the internal and external stakeholders will ensure their support in elements such as academics, policy-makers, mass media, other corporate managers, along with many other endeavors
Types of Internal Stakeholders utilized at the satellite clinic: Trustees, Board Members, Public Health Strategists, Director of Public Health, and Head of Health Intelligence
Types of External Stakeholders utilized at the satellite clinic: Local Council, Funders, Quality Assessors, Media and Suppliers
Choosing these particular stakeholders was very strategic in manor Each stakeholder’s current problems, needs, and interests align with the priorities of the satellite clinic; strengthening our ability to provide the much-needed health services to the community
Pocahontas County has a unique demographic, where Caucasian adults aged 45 and older represent majority of their population; making them the targeted consumer for the satellite
