How do you feel after you go to a meeting about helping the environment? Well, writer and activist Derrick Jensen states “I don’t know about you, but whenever I attend some ‘green’ conference, I know I’m supposed to leave feeling inspired and energized, but instead I feel heart broken, discouraged, defeated, and lied to” (Jensen, 124). Unlike we have done in the past. There is a world where people can live and cohabitate with the animals, becoming a harmonious interaction yet keeping a safe distance of course. “Rattlesnakes live in rocky grottos along the wash. Sometimes they come to the house for a social call. We found one coiled on the welcome mat by the front door Sunday evening,” (Abbey 526). Speaking from experience, growing up in Georgia we had a couple of acres of land partially wooded as well. It was not an unusual sight to have wild deer visit the family garden, or even one occasion play with the toys I personally had left out the night before. Anything is possible if we allow the right conditions, uniting together to improve all the situations involved with making the world a green
