Argumentative Essay On Osama Bin Laden

There are many times when the president has called for a special breaking news press conference and many times it’s because he bared bad news just like president George W. Bush on the Tuesday night of the September 11th attacks when he told the American people. “Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly terrorist acts.” He then mentioned the nearly 3,000 American lives that were lost because of the pre-meditated attack on the United States. Once the initial shock had faded some Americans’ grief or sadness then quickly turned into anger and a demand for the those responsible be brought to justice quickly. Not soon after we had learned that the extreme Islamic terrorist …show more content…
Also, the Pakistani government and some Islamic peaceful leaders were glad that they did not have a negative image in the eyes of the world. The document coming from the white house and being written by the president addressing the American people gives me no reason to believe it is not true. Yes, presidents have lied to the American public before such as Nixon and Clinton, but in this case I do believe that Osama Bin Laden is dead and not secretly alive in Cuba like I have heard. Some might ask, is this whole thing of going after someone and breaking into their house in the middle of the neighborhood at 1 in the morning to kill him ok? As in we should have done it another way. I, and most of the American population believe it is ok, it might not have been the way they wanted to apprehend him because the president has said, ‘Frankly, my belief was if we had captured him, that I would be in a pretty strong position, politically, here, to argue that displaying due process and rule of law would be our best weapon against al-Qaida, in preventing him from appearing as a martyr, '(Press, …show more content…
There also were no holes in the president’s speech because it was one big cohesive story from the morning of 9/11 to the night of May 1st. I believe he did not mention every single detail about his pursuit of Osama Bin Laden because that would have been a very long speech but he still drove the point home in his speech. As an American I do feel strongly about what took place on 9/11 I still remember seeing it on T.V as a kid so my view of the president’s speech is biased and from that I do not see any bias in the speech. Although, from the aspect of someone who supports Osama Bin Laden or is from the Middle East then you might view president Obamas mention of Osama Bin Laden as a terrorist they can take that and say that is bias because people to this day still believe that Bin Laden is not a terrorist. The secondary source I reviewed was the interview of one of the Navy SEALS that was on the mission that killed Bin Laden. He, like President Obama recalled his personal story and firsthand account of his role in the assassination of Osama. He even recalled the moment of Osama dying as he said in this CBS interview, “Inside the room, I could see a body lying on the

Knowing that the world’s prayers and support was with us reminded us that the entire world felt for us in the face of this tragedy.…

My opinion is that he is an innocent person who was wrongly prosecuted. The whole case is built on a timeline that has many flaws, and they call it a crime of passion or crime of pride. However, they have no evidence of how Adnan might have felt. In addition, they have no physical evidence to pin on Adnan.…

Bin Laden believed strongly in Islam, which influenced some of his most life changing decisions. Osama bin Laden planned to attack the US, because he believed that Islam still needed to seek revenge on the US for declaring war on them; his plan of attack suddenly turns into the US’s plan of attack to kill him shortly after 9/11. The conflict of George bush being involved in 9/11 can be solved by either George bush being taken to prison because of a confession, enough evidence comes out that he gets taken to court, or al Qaeda admits that it was planned by George bush. While the twin tower attacks were going on, George bush was reading a book to second graders. Suddenly, one of the secret servicemen came and whispered something in his ear. He continued to read. The secret servicemen had said something about the attack when the first tower was hit, then he whispered again when the second tower was hit, he continued to read.…

However, one article presents itself better than the rest. I believe that the article “Soda’s a Problem, but...” was the most convincing article. Sarah Conly- the author who wrote “Three Cheers for the Nanny State”- argues that the soda restriction is a good idea because people would be stopped from making foolish decisions that they’ll pretty definitely regret.…

These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steal of American resolve” (Aaron Y. Zelin). Al Qaeda has tested our nation’s patriotism in many of ways by testing the faith of not only the American people but people across this world. “While the war on terrorism has cost the US some 1 trillion al Qaeda remains a global threat. In fact, in August 2008, Ted Gistard the US government’s senior terrorism analyst said in a report that by forging closer ties to Pakistani militants, al Qaeda is more capable of launching an attack in the US than it was in 2007. The Pakistani militants have given al Qaeda leaders a safe haven in remote areas to train recruits” (Laura Hayes, Borgna Brunner, and Beth Rowen).…
