Regina And Zelena Character Analysis

In the popular TV show “Once Upon a Time,” there are two prominent sisters, Regina and Zelena. A mutual emotion between the two is commonly envy. One is allowed to experience the more mature instances in life before the other. The smarter sister encounters situations and plows through them easier than the not-as-lucky one. The beautiful sister achieves a hunky suitor while the less attractive one is forced to wrestle with unrequited desire. Heightened instances, such as these, occur between Regina and Zelena. They share several inconveniences and joyful moments that have shaped their distinct characters, many of which are in need of explanation, such as relationships, capabilities, and issues with their mother. Relationships are no picnic, they require work and are made up of a multitude of emotions; Regina has certainly been down this road. She held love in her heart for her fiancé, Daniel. Before the wedding bells could be rung out, his heart was physically ripped out and crushed leading to his abrupt death and Regina’s broken heart. …show more content…
She too was born with her powers, and wielded them quite easily, unlike her sister. In fact, when Zelena first used her powers, she was an infant. A tree branch was about to fall and she used her supernatural abilities to redirect it. To further familiarize with Regina, Zelena trained with Rumpelstiltskin. Moreover, Zelena too used her powers to cause strife. This is exemplified when Zelena transformed those inferior to her into squawking monkeys who, under compulsion, carried out her bidding. To contrast Regina, Zelena continues to use her powers for the not-so-good, but there are moments when she uses them for a more desirable alternative. To explain, Zelena’s lover, Hades, was causing mass pandemonium and the only way for it to cease was with his death. Zelena, with understandable hesitation, saw to it that it
