Analysis Of Oj Quilty

Decent Essays
My poem also uses repetition of the question, “How could OJ be guilty”? This question was crafted after the villanelle style of repeating a line in the poem. The question was repeated in order to convey the misgivings that the members of the public felt during the time of the trial and to show the bias that people had towards OJ because of his celebrity status. This question also shows the lack of concern many people had for Nicole and Ron due to their main focus on OJ. At the time, it seemed that OJ became more of a victim instead of the murder victims and most people focused on whether or not OJ was guilty.
In addition, I also used repetition of the words “announced and pronounced” in an effort to show how reputation was actively involved

The most televised trial in recorded history was a murder trial where a famous NFL football player was accused of murder. The O.J. Simpson murder trial was controversial because of numerous reasons. He pled not guilty to the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. The evidence and the time leading up to his arrest would make anyone believe that he was guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt, but the jury in 1995 found him not guilty. I believe that there is overwhelming evidence against O.J. Simpson, and he should have been found guilty for two murders.…

I selected three primary sources, The Trial of Andrew Johnson, 1868, Ku Klux Klan, 1868, and Kamikaze Attack, 1944. The trial of Andrew Johnson, 1868 is mainly about how the Judiciary Committee finds a way to impeach Andrew Johnson, but Johnson got to stay as a president by one lucky vote. The Ku Klux Klan is about an organization killing slaves and carpet baggers for fun, and how their organization got big in the south. The Kamikaze Attack was a battle between the Japanese and the American Navy, there was a lot of people kill and it explains how bad the battle was. My first primary source is The Trial of Andrew Johnson, 1868, the Radical Republicans where not happy with Andrew Johnson beliefs, Andrew Johnson changed his beliefs about readmitting…

Clifford claims that it is wrong in every case to believe without sufficient evidence. It is claimed that O.J. Simpson murdered his wife Nicole and Ron Goldman. O.J. Simpson was found not guilty of murder after a criminal trial by a Jury of 12 people. The level of proof for a conviction in our criminal court system is “beyond a reasonable doubt” which is the highest standard of proof.…

January 24, 1995 marked the first day of the events that produced what was nicknamed “ The Trail of the Century” . The first official day of the trial of Orenthal James Simpson versus The People took place in June of 1994 in Los Angeles California when Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were found dead outside of Brown’s home. In Chapter 2 of Slaves of the State named “Except as Punishment of a Crime”, Dennis Childs expresses how slavery was still continuing even after the thirteenth amendment had passed. Childs has the overarching argument that the thirteenth amendment actually has an exception clause that allows chattel slavery to occur. Evidence of African-Americans being sold as property differently than traditional slavery and the use of the exception clause of the thirteenth amendment is apparent throughout the chapter. Slavery was not done because it transformed as a way of punishment.…
