A female dancer who was also the choreographer, dressed in all black with rigid type clothing, low lightening to catch the effect of the wilderness. This style of dance was metaphoric with an abstract touch. The dancer focused more on her body movements portraying the animalistic aspect of the dance. The dancer moved her arms in a rhythmic motion that simulated the fluidity of water. The music “Erupting Light” to this particular solo influenced physical elements to the dramatic mood the choreographer was trying to entice. The way she made, quick animalistic movements, facial expression that tied along with the music and her ability to create shape with her body contributed to the choreographer’s purpose and mood. I related this to a child that cannot express their true personality because of their current surroundings. A sense of being trapped in a confined area, but once they have the opportunity and space, the child gains the confidence to be them
