My annoyed parents both shout at me, “Relax! We will be there soon!”
I sat back in my seat and rolled my eyes and looked out the window. I noticed that it had started to rain. The rain hit off my window and I watched it each raindrop follow its own path. It is impossible to pick exactly where the raindrop will go. It is unpredictable. My life is like a raindrop. As I am watching the rain we drive past the bright, blue “Pennsylvania Welcomes You” sign. I roll my eyes even harder than before. I looked past the sign to a land full of green. Almost like a strange, deep jungle.
I did not want this. I did not want to be here. My life will never be the same. It was early May and I was around eleven years old. My family decided just about a month ago that they wanted to come back to their hometown. However, this was not my hometown.
My parents loved to travel; especially when they got married. They traveled all over the country and even outside of it. Until they were on vacation in Arizona. They decided while vacationing that they wanted to move out of Pennsylvania and start a new life in Arizona.
