Personally, analysis is not my forte. I've always thought myself as more of the creative type, capturing obscure thoughts and meanings in quick drabbles and not divulging into them further. When it came down to essays like these in which rhetoric was metaphorically strung out to dry, I was horrified. The concept of applying my thoughts to a single passage and only adding insight into what someone else's words may symbolize? Agonizing. Rhetoric and analysis is still it's own beast but, after palming through countless literary works such as Black Boy, Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address, Letter from Birmingham Jail, Macbeth, The Great Gatsby and many others, spotting an anaphora is no longer an unbearable burden upon my chest.
