Analysis Of My Strengths To Become A Human Resource Specialist

When I finish school, I plan on becoming a Human Resource Specialist, because I have always enjoyed working in an office atmosphere and getting to know different cultures through my job. However, there are many steps I must accomplish in getting to my chosen career. Part of the job description for being a Human Resource Specialist include many duties ranging from creating jobs to finding the right person for the position. Human resource specialists; have many jobs included in that little range, they prepare or update employment records, they also ensure all paperwork is completed and processed, as well as addressing any employment issues. I am also a great presenter because I have led many girl scout troop meetings and present several activities for the parents and girls to do. I also have time management and self-discipline, that just because of my job now as a Special needs teaching assistant, I had to understand that everything had a time and place and that I couldn’t get mad because something wasn’t done my way. Yes, I do believe that some of my strengths do match those required to become a human resource specialist. I believe that one of my worst weakness I perceive of myself is my organizational skills. I always seem to have preoccupation overflows from my mind to my desk that make it hard to find many of the things I need. It could take anywhere from 5-7 years to prepare for a job in human resouces depending on which degree you deciede to go with whether it be a bachelors or masters; and whether or not that you will need extra training. The entry level salary for this job can range anywhere from 55,000-60,000, but the median salary of a entry level human resource is $59,630. As you increase the years of experience and amount of training your median pay goes up. After 10 years of experience or while your in mid-career your pay increase the median salary is $62,983, which means after 10 years of working you earn a 3,353 pay increase slowly over 10 years. The mobility of a Human Resource Specialist is great you have many different career areas in human resources; you start off as a Generalist then work your way up to assistant, to manager, to director. All of which earn more than the last on average a Director earns 80,00-90,000 a year.
