In the book, Carson points out our constitutional liberties that we are entitled to and goes into detail on what we as the people of the United States can do to reclaim our constitutional liberties. The book touches on big controversial topics that are taking place in the United States today including same-sex marriage, the right to bear arms, executive order, taxation, and freedom of religion. Carson makes owning a gun a good thing instead of making it a bad issue that the world deals with. I agree with him in that we need to be able to protect ourselves and that he makes a good point that people should offer free public gun-safety courses.
Religion is addressed in the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights stating that the people are entitled to freedom of speech, press, assembly, and religion.

Carson makes it clear that there is nothing in the Constitution or its amendments to indicate that all vestiges of faith must be removed from the public square. Fisher 4 part of the Constitution and allows a few pages to briefly yet, thoroughly explain each part of it in a normal everyday vocabulary that the common person can understand, and he points out many things that others may not have known just by reading the Constitution. I admired how he kept his personal opinions of how things should work to the side and just laid out exactly the rights given to the people in the Constitution and did not let his own beliefs get in the way of breaking down the parts of the Constitution. The book was also labeled by headings and subheadings which make reading each chapter much easier and it’s not all bunched together. In addition to headings, it also went in order of the way the Constitution is written so you get an idea of what it would be like actually reading the Constitution. Ben Carson did an awesome job writing this well thought out book about the Constitution and I would encourage others that would like to expand their knowledge on the rights we the people are guaranteed, to take a look at this and see what they
