Another way cell phones have increased the quality of life in developing countries is by improving agriculture. In the journal article “Mobile Phones: Uplifting Weak and Failed States”, by Robert Rotberg he explains how cell phones have increase market efficiency and has helped farmers gain knowledge. With an increase in knowledge famers can gain access to different market prices at different locations and know when and where to sell their crops. They then can move their commodity from a low price market a high price market to gain a higher profit. Not only that, there has been some apps developed that have helped farmers.
