Food is what we all need to sustain life on this planet. The major question is what foods are good and how much do we need to eat. Michael Pollan hits on major issues about the american diet over the last one-hundred years. He talks about how the industry has changed and the effects on society today. The times in life where america was feeling great and times like today where we could use a little help. Food is made up of all different types of things. Do you have any idea what you are eating? Have you ever considered reading the “Nutrition Facts” on a package? This things must be considered to be physically healthy.

The food we put in our bodies vary the outcomes of our future. Michael Pollan the author of “From food to Nutrients” tells us about his view on the food we eat. How the way we look at food fifty years ago, to how we see it today. His primary argument is that we must know what we are putting in our bodies. There is fat that is somewhat healthy for you. That fat is called unsaturated fat. The difference between these two are that saturated fat is saturated with hydrogen molecules. Unsaturated fat is good for you just not in excess amounts. This does not matter either way when people still have no clue because companies are saving themselves instead of people. The only major problem is finding a way to keep everyone happy. Telling people truth upsets companies, but stretching it hurts people. What is right and what is wrong?
