Space MetroShoe Warehouse is located in Edmond, Oklahoma and it utilizes its space to send a message to its customers and, too tell them what its store is about. The arrangement of merchandise and decorations are meant to bring a warm welcome into the store. On the surface, the primary message of the space seems to be welcoming customers into the store to look around, but a closer look will reveal that the message could also be if you have money you can enjoy the products. The store is located off the Turnpike and on an outlet mall called Qual. Connected next to the store is Old Navy on the left and the store to the right of it is closed down. Our store sells more high end quality products than Old Navy. The message that our store …show more content…
Towards the back where the shoe aisles are are couches on the right side. Next to the couches is a fitting room and bathrooms. In the front around the cashiers are racks and hangers with clothes hanging on them. Jackets are hung on the walls. The left side is the mens side and the right side is the women side. This helps also show how organized are store is with the separation of male and female clothing. The clothing are also separated by style. The message sent there is that we care about and think like our customers do. I know I wouldn 't want try and find a shirt mixed up with women shirts and not organized. It also shows that our store isn’t cheap like a thrift shop. The pricing of the products is what brings out the explicit message. The implicate message is that our products are nice and organized, but the explicit message is that the price is high on the products. In the back is the children section next to the couches. The message being sent with the kids products in the back is that our store is more of a grown up store. Teenagers and adults manly wear high end clothing over children. The mens side is Smaller then the women side and the children side is smaller then both. The message is that when women go shopping they will more than likely look around at everything, and having more products will give them a more influence to buy something. While …show more content…
This helps give the customer a more feel of what the product might look on them when seeing other people wearing it. The employees go ten days worth of training before they are able to make commission. The sales people are trained to have a lot of product knowledge and how to sell to customers. A message sent with product knowledge is that customers won’t trust a salesperson if they don’t know what they 're talking about. Our business is also known for its customer service. “Great Staff! Always willing to do all they can to help each customer find the perfect item” (Yelp). This sends a message to our customers that our store welcomes them in.
