The title of the text is “Man May Love” by Robert Sharp. It refers to a young patient who falls in love with a nurse while at the hospital and asks her to marry him, but the nurse makes fun of him and refuses because many patients have asked her the same question before and was also against hospital policies. Because of the insisting proposal from the young patient the nurse starts believing in his sincerity and makes a deal with him. I know this because the story clearly presents a young guy who falls in love but is rejected by a girl who does not believe his feelings and cannot accept him either based on working policies and when finally she decides to open up the young patient he changes his mind due to the her rejection.
3. What is the evidence presented by the author to support ideas?
First the author presents the character of the young patient detailing his feeling towards the nurse and really trying to convince her to marry him, next we have the nurse rejecting those feeling at first but accepting later even if that meant going against her professional believes. As a matter of fact similar stories are very common with high school kids where a young boy is interesting on a girl but she rejects him because of promises made to her family about dating at certain or may be she thinks that the boy is not sincere enough and just wants to play with her. Sadly with boys there is no patience and normally get tire of asking and get rejected making the decision of asking someone else to go out at the same time the young high school girl decides to give the boy a chance regardless of what the family thinks but is already too late the boy is not interesting any
