The reason I picked Buddhist temple and Catholic cathedral is because I’m personally fascinated with some beliefs in Buddhism, and I am also interested in Catholic traditions. At first, I had thought that this trip would be boring and rough, but I have to admit that I enjoyed it a lot and
I’ve got many things out of it. In this reflection, I will share some of my experiences of both sites, and I will also personally compare and contrast both sites in the religious perspective.

It was something that fascinated me. I saw many Christian family or as we call fellowship
(Durante, Christianity) sitting down and praying; I guess it is one of many ways to get closer to
God.
Although both religions are different from each other, I personally think that there are something they share in common. Considering some ethics, in Christianity, the Gospels
Beatitudes states how important charity is to the community (Durante, Christianity); in other word, generosity is a necessary virtue for becoming a good Christian. I have visited many churches, and I have realized that there are always some charities for us to do. On the other hand, in Buddhism, they believe in Anatta, which is noself. Many Buddhist then often give things to others rather than keeping it themselves. Considering the history of Buddhism, we can see that
Buddha also gives things back to the community.; he comes back from the Nirvana in order to be able to teach people. As we can see, both religions teaches how important it is to give to others and not just keep it to ourselves. (Durante,
