Even though the painting consists of local colors there is intensity which is brightness and dullness to the hue in the colors, Andrade uses the intensity to bring attention to each of the objects. I love the way Lizbeth Andrade uses value light and dark tones throughout the art piece because it makes each object look for realistic. Another great art technique that is used in the art piece is contouring, which is one of my favorite art techniques that is used not just in art work but even one can do with makeup. Contouring outlines a shape to make it stand out more and in this art piece there is a lot of contouring used to outline each object. Aside from contouring there is a lot of shading that is used beautifully and makes the contouring lines to stand out more. I feel that the artist wants us to see that nature consists of beautiful objects like the monarch butterflies, peacock birds, flowers, leaves, and fruits. When I see this piece of art I think of a peaceful setting full of nature and relaxation. In my opinion I think that is what Andrade wants one to think and feel when looking at her art piece and also to know that human nature is important and full of beautiful living things. Her focal point are the grapes and when I look at the grapes I think of the important of fruits and food have to humans, without it wouldn’t survive. She wants us to be more considerate of nature and the importance of all this objects in life.
