During the film, Warner broke up with her because he feels as if she wasn’t a serious person to be with. As she fought through the tears, heart-broken, and so many emotions, she came up with the idea of going to the same school with her ex-boyfriend just to get back with him. She wasn’t interested in being a lawyer because her major was to go into the fashion school and graduate with a degree. She pushed herself to overcome the situations and succeed in getting her so called soul-mate back. With so much efforts that she puts in, she finally passed the Law assessment to get into the Harvard Law School. In the film, she’s just not portraying as a feminist only, but an intelligent woman that had come to a realization of becoming true to herself. For example, in the film the saleswoman was trying to sell Elle an out-of-season dress at a ridiculously price thinking that Elle would buy the dress because she is an unintelligent blonde girl that used her dad’s credit card. According to the article, “Dress Code,” it said that, “Many schools respond to criticism of dress codes by citing the importance of maintaining a ‘distraction free’ learning environment, or of teaching young people about the importance of dressing appropriately considered their dresses too ‘sexual’ or ‘provocative’” (Dress Code). This means that the school regulated the dress code because they don’t want the girls to wear clothes that show a little skin because it is a distraction to the males. On the other hand, I believes that this shouldn’t be a big problem because majority of the male should know feel comfortable seeing things like that when they go out to the mall or anywhere outside of the school. Majority of the people will agree with me that Elle Woods is and will stand for the female empowerment. She represents many women in this society that everything will work if we put our time and efforts into it. This film just not show
