He was tried as an adult and convicted of first-degree murder. It was later discovered that he was not intentionally meaning to kill the 6 year old girl he was just pretending to be a particular world wrestler when he beat the little girl. In cases such as this, it sounds like an accident more than intentional. So, should he have been tried as an adult for this crime? No, I don’t believe he should have because taking her life was not something he had planned to do he was just pretending like children do and took it to far he had no understanding of what he was actually doing and how the moves he made could really hurt someone. His life should not have been completely taken away from him because he was imitating something he had seen. Even at 12 years old children don’t understand that what they see on Television is not always real. It might be argued that because he was 12 years old that he should have understood the consequences of his actions; chances are though that it never crossed his mind that he was much bigger and therefore stronger than the little girl he was playing
