After an evaluation of both reading passages, i find it much easier to follow, understand, and learn the most, from " Understanding college writing". However, thats not to definitively say that one is better than the other. My initial reaction to the former was a relief compared to the latter passage

Williams.Upon first introduction to"Writing in college" i straightaway felt overwhelmed by not only the length of the passage, but how in depth the paragraphs took me. To add, it was also a challenge trying to decipher what information i needed and which i did not.
Those reasons made it difficult to stay engaged, and it ultimately resulted in getting bored of it and not fully finishing it. In spite of this
