Harry is asked to complete many new things such as, play on the Quidditch team, defeat the troll, and deal with the bullying from Malfoy. Harry proves himself to be a true hero because he successfully accomplishes these tasks. Next is atonement with the father. The hero confronts whatever holds ultimate power. This could be when Harry sees his father in the Mirror, when he has to face Voldemort, or whenever he speaks to Dumbledore.
