George should have killed Lennie. Lennie was now a murder the police or Curly would have killed him anyways. “Curly gon’ta wants get ‘im lynched” (Steinbeck Page.94). In this quote it clearly states that Lennie was going to get lynched, so George killing Lennie was just so George knew that it would be fast and Lennie wouldn’t be in more pain. Another reason George should have killed Lennie is. The fact that Lennie didn’t have a future. “You can’t keep a job” (Steinbeck Page. 11). With Lennie not being able to get a job he wouldn’t be able to live on his own. So he wouldn’t have money from the fact he couldn’t keep a job and then he would start to starve.
