Schellers and Cheeses stories have many similarities such as the poor being misunderstood by the wealthy, the poor being treated worse than the wealthy, and the poor feeling shameful because of their living conditions. There are many differences between the wealthy and poor such as the wealthy has more opportunities than the poor, the wealthy has an easier life than the poor, and the poor feel more shameful about themselves than the wealthy but in some cases it should be the other way around. Governor Bauer has no understanding of what it is like to be poor, doesn’t care about the poor people, and doesn’t want to put forth any effort to help them.
