In Jesus, Walks West addresses a multitude of problems that can range from personal to a national crisis. At heart, this song is a spiritual jubilation despite it being composed in the key of E minor. West argues that Jesus "walks" or is there for all people even though some may have committed sins throughout their lifetime. West also uses the song as a platform to express his ideals on how the media tends to stray away from music that addresses religious beliefs while appropriating songs that embraces sex, drugs, and violence.
