The purpose of this illustration is to demonstrate the interfamilial relationships of the Salerno family as well as their external support systems and stressors by creating a genogram and ecomap paper by identifying their relationship within the community and the environment they live. Each environmental resource is related to the family based on relationship strength and energy of flow. Suggestions for improving these relationships and positive energy with the family are discussed. The results of interviewing the Salerno family using the suggested templet are analyzed and described as follows: The results of the ecomap and genogram developed using the information from the Kaakinen, Coehio, Steele, Tabacco, & Hanson (2015) text, it is noted the Salerno family consists of a husband, wife, and two children. AS and husband VS have a ten year age gap, with VS, being retired. They have two children, one grown and married living on the west coast of the United States, and a son 15, permanently disabled.
