The artists I chose to compare and analyze are Hung Liu and Guillermo Gomez-Pena. These two artists specifically stuck out to me on this list because of the cultural nature of their work. I saw a lot of different faces and portraits as I was browsing each artist, but these two especially caught my eye. I believe they stood out to me in such a way because both of their works are extremely vibrant. While a lot of the other work involved observation from a distance, these two artists almost exclusively portray their subjects from a very close distance. I liked this because it seemed to me that they were very much demonstrative and depictive of the themes they are trying to convey and identify with. I enjoyed many of Gomez-Pena’s works and observed
