ISIS, also known as the Islamic State, is a group from the Middle East which Graeme Wood, a writer for Atlantic Monthly , states that the main purpose of the group is that they believe the acts of violence which kill many individuals is, “purifying the world” (5). This shows people that their beliefs have no respect for human life and explains why they have no remorse when they commit horrific acts of terror. Terrorism is a hard concept to understand and Michael Kinsley, who writes for Slate, states, “[i]t is designed to spread terror, almost apart from any larger goal”(1). This puts constant fear on individuals, especially Americans, that ISIS may attack America just to spread terror. What needs to happen next is the United States needs to create an intelligent plan to overthrow ISIS and integrity can help do just that. The university gives values that can be used in all aspects of life to overcome obstacles both morally and intellectually. If everyone were instilled with these core values, as we are the fight against terrorism would be morally and intellectually thought through. This will not be an easy thing to defeat ISIS, or even any terrorist group, but as long as America uses integrity than it will be known that the best possible decision will be made both morally and
