They worst thing that they did in this stage was in 1938, the Nazi’s looted Jewish shops and homes. Jewish synagogues were burned and businesses were trashed and looted. This event is known as The ‘Night of Broken Glass’.

The preparation stage involved the victims being divided and wearing identifying symbols:
Jews and other races were sent first to ghettos and then to the concentration and work camps
The ghettos were overloaded, plumbing did not work, diseases were many and people were dying of hunger and starvation.
Thousands died in the ghettos and some committed suicide because they could not cope any longer
The deaths in the ghettos were too much so the Nazi’s then commissioned death camps.
The death camps that the Nazi’s commissioned were under the control of the SS under Heinrich Himmler:
The Nazis first used the poison gas in the killing many mental patients
Thereafter they used gas chambers to exterminate them. They would be told to undress and that they were going to take "showers" to be clean but instead poisonous gas was sent into the sealed rooms and the people inside were gassed to
