Hi Jacinda,I agree is best not to discuss our personal beliefs at work like religions and politics because we all have different opinions. For instance, in my work, we don't discuss politics because the office is divided about the new elections. It is best if we all keep our affiliation to ourselves because some can be very passionate while others can have negative perspectives of the future candidates. Also, religion is a strong topic that should not be discussed because people might interpret as discrimination. For instance, people might believe that you are trying to change their beliefs.
