Do you have have a hero? Well this year we read multiple books with multiple heroes in them.All of the books had a deep meaning and the heros were important characters. In ‘Raymond's Run’ squeaky is a girl who has to watch over her brother and she takes him to her running practices.Squeaky is the fastest girl in her grade and she participates in races in her big race at the end of the story she discovered her brother likes to run also,squeaky puts her running career on pause to train her brother in his running career .In ‘the diary of a young girl’ miep is a woman who helps the franks go into hiding and brings them supplies.Anne is a young girl who is forced to go into hiding during the holocaust.Anne writes a diary during her time in hiding

Heros need compassion because they need something to inspire them, and they need a goal to look to. In ‘Raymond's Run’ Squeaky shows compassion for her brother because after she finds out her brother enjoys running, Squeaky puts a pause her running career to coach her brother in his. This shows that Squeaky has compassion for her brother. Toni Cade Bambara is trying to show the audience that people have a deeper identity then you first realize. Secondly in ‘The Call Of The Wild’ john thornton shows compassion for Buck because when he was being beaten by Hal, john thornton saves him. This shows that he has compassion for animals like Buck. This is heroic because he could of been hurt but he stood up for buck anyway. lastly in for peter.The character examples show that heroes should have compassion.‘The Wave Ben Ross feels compassion for Robert because when the wave is put to an end he gets really upset because the wave made him feel like he fit in with his peers. In the book the author wrote Poor Robert,Ben thought the only one who really stood lose in this whole thing’(pg 138 ch17)This is an example of compassion because Ben started the wave and he saw how the end of it effected roberts life.These character examples show how heroes should have
