Although the concept of power is prominent within this film, another anthropological concept that has influenced one of the character’s behaviors in a specific scene in Guardians of the Galaxy is enculturation. Trying to fit into a new culture can be hard and there are potential influences when it comes to learning and trying to fit into a whole new culture and society. This concept of enculturation has had an influence on Peter within this film. Although Peter has been trying to learn all the new norms and values of his new culture, since being taken from Earth, a specific scene where enculturation has influenced Peter’s behavior is going out and stealing the most powerful thing in the universe, the orb. The final anthropological concept that has influenced one of the character’s behavior in a specific scene in Guardians of the Galaxy is cultural symbols. Peter’s language has had an influence on him and has caused him to stick out within the film. One scene specifically is when Peter and his group of misfits are brought to Kyln, the high security prison. During the night when other prisoners and Drax try to kill Gamora, Peter hears them and goes down to see what is going on and try to stop it. When he is talking to the prisoners, specifically Drax, he is talking and explaining how he can just kill Ronan himself, and not Gamora, he uses a universal hand signal for slitting Ronan’s throat, but in his new culture it is not universal at all. In conclusion, the latest film ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ (2014) has advanced in motion picture (CGI), which made the film more realistic and fitted into pop culture. It also captured audience’s eyes in some scenes and brought to light modern society conditions relating to human corruptions. The original ‘Planet of the Apes’ (1968) script structure was not creditable and lost interest throughout the storyline, such as visual effects (CGI) and lack of performance, which lead to a parody genre film rather then being a serious science fiction genre film. There were also some unneeded characters and other storytelling methods to present the narrative because it bored the audience and made it more of a Mockumentary. The twist conflict at the…

At that moment, Peter's father had been sneaking out and stealing the bread from the rest of the group. It was a very selfish move indeed. From his father making this move, he was going to suffer from it as well. One simple selfish move can make many others suffer very unfairly and can cause severe humiliation. If they were to be kicked out of the annex they would have to face a very difficult regime.…

"Don't let Father kill everything." He turned to his father. "Oh, I hate you!" This shows that Peter was so addicted to the house and the technology that he started believing that is was an object with feelings and cared more about the technology than his own father. Another reason I believe that the parents are to blame for their own deaths is because Peter starts to get out of control and starts to lose his temper when his father starts to threaten closing up the nursery.…

Peter so drawn to fitting in with society? His desire arose from his love of extravagant objects and superior taste, which easily comes along with being a Francophile. Unhappy to be in the middle class, St. Peter attempts to satisfy his materialistic needs by using decorative napkins and ornate European baskets when eating lunch. Ironically, this meal is eaten in the comfort of his old, run-down office, due to the fact he finds it more intimate, and welcoming than his brand new home. Throughout the novel, the professor is torn between finding comfort in his earthly possessions, such as pleasing his family by buying dispensable items, and being satisfied with the simple things in life that are priceless such as the view of the lake.…

my personal favorite story is the story of Star Wars, but not just the movie, the story of how a ragtag team of film makers made an amazing classic still alive today. The story of star wars begins in the California home of George Lucas where he began to capture the romance and adventure that he saw in old movies that he watched as a young boy as well as the heroics of the great Flash Gordon TV series. so george began to write the script for a screenplay that would one day be known as "Star Wars" Before George along with a crew of over 100 men and women could begin this interstellar epic they would need people to play the roles of the characters. The young hero, Luke Skywalker was played by Mark Hamil, a newbie to show business. the mentor and guide of the hero is the old and wise member of a long forgotten order of knights know as the Jedi, his name is Obi-Wan Kenobi played by Sir Alec Guiness.…
