Philippians follows a sequence that fits in with this genre; a greeting, a prayer, reassurance of the sender, request of assurance of the reader, information of intermediaries, third party greeting exchange, closing wishes. Paul hits all these points in his Letter to the Philippians. By looking at chapter 4:1-23, Paul has expresses the point of keeping a pure mind, let your mind be worthy of praise, think on things of good repute. Then Paul rejoices that the Philippians are mindful of him. He expresses his joy of learning to be content in circumstances. 4:13 “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me”. Paul ends the letter with praises to God. Christians should look upon God, not as under all their weakness and fears, but as their Father. They must give glory to God. God 's grace and favor, which reconciled the souls of Christians. Which flow from Christ 's merit, and applied by his pleading for us and therefore are justly called the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Greet everyone with a friendly embrace and wish happiness to all, as being one who is sanctified as a member of Christ. Whether rich or poor, lesser or greater believers, all who believe and leaving out no one of the church. The application can be applied when doing street ministry, accepting that all people for all walks of life want to seek the Lord. Making sure Christians treat all people out of the love we are called to have for them. This could also be applied when churches know that there will be an influx of people attending services, for those holiday services such as Christmas and Easter. The people of the church should welcome new people into the church for these services. When reaching out to the other churches in the community it is important greet them in the same manner Paul greeted the church in Philippi.
