We read the script for the first time together with much enthusiasm. It was at that time that I met Mr. Schaefer, who was one of the drama teachers and the director of the play. He seemed like a friendly and welcoming person and I could not wait to perform for him. The script for the play was so hilarious, we could barely catch our breath from laughing so much. At the next rehearsal Mr. Schaefer assigned each of us our roles and I was surprised to learn that I would have five different roles. One of the parts I received was the Titan, Prometheus. I was glad I acquired this role because while reading the script I could see myself playing this character, especially since I was the shortest person in the play. Another role that I was pleased to acquire was the Trojan Hero …show more content…
I delighted in all the scenes where I performed alongside the other actors. One of my favorite moments in the play was when I performed with a junior named Eugene. Eugene towered over me and that would produce laughter from the audience, about our size contrast. One of my favorite scenes was where I had to procure a step stool so I could look directly into his eyes. This produced much laughter from the audience and it was difficult for Eugene and I to hold back our laughter. The stage crew also appreciated my company and thought I was accomplishing an excellent job in the play. Perhaps the most noteworthy friend I made was Mr. Schaefer himself. Mr. Schaefer assisted me extensively while we rehearsed for the play. When I possessed difficulty speaking my lines clearly he taught me how to speak them more clearly and gradually. He also taught me how to utilize accents so that my characters could be easily identified. He also assisted me on how to stand still when I needed to. I listened to his advice attentively and wholeheartedly. Mr. Schaefer’s advice has supported me a lot since then and I hope that more of his wisdom will aid me in the future. Before we could even blink, the play was already upon

I think they were successful because they added comedy, which made it fun to watch and easier to understand. The play was so well written that everything just came together. Also, I believe the goal was to keep the audience on their ties to include them into the play so it could seem like we were n a journey with them. In this way the author makes sure he engages the audience so they wouldn’t be left behind. Yes, overall I do think the artist achieved their goal.…

I followed along with each play and felt as though I was apart of the cast. From what I know the cast must be comfortable with the stage. They must use hand movements and their tone of voice to impress the audience, along with keeping the audience on board with what goes on. I felt the cast of these plays were very comfortable with the stage. They did an amazing job of keeping me awake and “on track” with what was going on.…

I believe the connection between the performers and the audience was the best advantage for both sides. As someone watching the show my nerves almost kicked in for the actors each time they were on stage, knowing how exciting it is to be up there. Their smiles before they would begin speaking or singing as the crowd cheered both teams on was what made the atmosphere of the auditorium so…

I rooted for Johnny Castle (Christopher), not only is he a good-looking person but he was a great dancer and actor as well. He definitely made the show complete with his acting skills. He was also the main character whose personality changed the most throughout the musical. In the beginning, he is very self-centered but at the end, he cared more for others, especially Baby. He stood up to Baby’s father and showed him how much talent his daughter has that he has always over…

In fact that fire was rekindled when I transferred into my first theater class and was introduced to script writing. Writing a theater script for the first time brought back all the desires I had when I was in middle school, and I was able to create a story by only listing dialogue and stage movements. Although it may seem simplistic compared to a full-fledged novel, I was able to accomplish everything I wanted and create meaningful relations and purposes for characters. Seeing theater as a bastion of expression and creativity I took the class all four years of high school. More importantly the class boosted my self-esteem in regards to my writing skills and I actually felt as though I was a good writer when I had parts of my scripts used our student-run plays.…

The performance meant a lot to me because it gave me a whole new perspective in the importance of dancing. The dance represented a familiar scenario which I recognized in professional theaters. This was worth my money and time because I was amused and thrilled with new content. The theme of the dance was easy to recognize because of the performers body language and visual appearance. It basically let me know whether it was dark or happy themed.…

I was fortunate enough to get a meeting there and, after mentioning the idea, received tremendous encouragement and enthusiasm. The project was fast-tracked and I wrote the script pretty quickly. Again, the story was already “in” me, so that part came easily. Add to this working with the team at Hallmark (Randy Pope, Michelle Vicary and Bill Abbott) and it was a win-win. Talk about a labor of love.…

I set up my classes to be a bit easier in my first year of high school, as to allow some time for an adjustment period; and I do love occupational ed classes. So I decided to sign up for drama tech. Drama tech is an entire class dedicated to all technical aspects of theatre, such as building and painting the sets, advertising, running sound and lighting equipment, among other things. This class was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The freedom and responsibility that this class gives you is liberating beyond the capablity of mere words.…
